I would be honoured if you supported the launch of my first book on Saturday, May 8, at the Last Chance Rock & Roll Bar in Melbourne, from 1-2pm.

12 Twisted Tales short story cover thumbnail

Twelve Twisted Tales is a collection of short stories, each with a twist ending. It was written during the Great Victorian Lockdown of 2020 and is my first work of published fiction.

Actually, calling it “my first work of published fiction” isn’t quite true. I worked 12 years in the media (including half a dozen years in magazine publishing) which means I’m a certified expert at making up things that appear in print.

Here’s the order page.

The central theme to the stories in Twelve Twisted Tales is the unexpected, knockout, twist ending. Each is told in a different way, from black humour to suspense.

You’ll see the ironic consequences of anger and overconfidence. The comical or tragic — and always inevitable — effects of ignorance or poor communication. Hidden and sinister motives finally coming to light. And more than anything, the actions of individuals inexorably shaping their fate.

Some might make you laugh. Others might make you angry. Quite a few will make your skin scrawl. But all of them will have you cursing for not spotting the knockout twist sooner.
